John Deere 4400 won t start

Greetings everyone and thanks in advance for help. I have a John Deere 4400 that will turn over fine but won't start. It's an intermittent problem - usually it'll finally start but not yesterday. I was looking on here and there was a discussion on a 4300 that was having the same issue. The answer was either a solenoid or a thermistor - something about the oil/fuel not draining correctly. Does anyone know if the solution would be the same for my 4400? Also, where is the solenoid/thermistor located?
